Yep, it's been a LONG time since weekend service. It ended close to the time that all direct service to both NYC locations from Newport was discontinued.
Guesstimate: 4- 5 years? (If my thinking is sloppy it's because the ferry was always too expensive for me...I'm consigned to the PATH cattle cars.)

I have been riding NY Waterway for probably about 12 years now, and yes, once upon a time there was frequent weekend ferry service, as well as late night service...it was great. We used to nip over to the Regal Theater over by WTC for a movie and dinner. I think they stopped weekend service about five years ago.

Not sure if they still run it, but Water Taxi had a ferry that ran from the foot of Warren St. (across from Liberty House) every half hour on weekends to the WFC. It was still running last summer but I haven't noticed it this year. Check their website.

I've been riding the ferry from Paulus Hook for 3+ years and can't recall ever having weekend service, sorry.

I was just on the NY Waterway site and saw that there is no weekend ferry service to/from JC.
I swear there used to be. Is this a recent change? Summer only? I tried calling (2x) but the phone just rings and rings ... no answer. Is NY Waterway the only ferry service?
