I also have noticed a drop off in service. They only will empty 1 can and leave the others full, or you'll find half empty cans still on the curb. I may bring this up at mtg. tonight.

I started to notice that every pick up or every 2nd pick up, WM would empty 1/4, maybe 1/2 of my recycling bin. We called WM and they actually went into our shed, took the recycling out, and dumped it. I would recommend calling WM directly. They operate out of a plant located in Newark, near Maher Terminal, not too far away. I also talked to their Area Manager for the state of NJ, hopefully things will improve. The material collected actually gets processed in JC at a local recycling center located 5 minutes from Hamilton Park.

It's not just public cans, they sometimes will not even pick up our recycling, picking and choosing what gets taken. On trash night, they'll empty our trash and throw our cans all over the place. I'll find one can on its side in front of someone's car and the other thrown in my neighbor's front yard, and some people's trash bags not picked up at all.

Thx for posting the number, now i'll know who to complain to.

Just wanted to give a heads up to all residents who have a public garbage can near their home or business. Make sure you check to see that Waste Management, the company contracted for garbage removal by the JCIA, is removing ALL the garbage from the public cans. I have already caught them on several occasions removing the excess or overflow from an overfilled can on Monmouth and not dumping the garbage INSIDE the can! Today, in fact, they removed the overflow and about two thirds of the trash in the can and left the rest. We all know certain cans in our neighborhood tend to get overfilled rather quickly ( the Monmouth can being one of them) and their little lazy scam isn't helping. Call Waste Mangement at 973-482-9336 to get it resolved. Or call JCIA @201-432-4645 ext 625. Thanks!
