I would try calling the manufactuer perhaps there was a recall or a modification to the bad part or the unit itself. Is it a GE ? General Electric (GE) has their own technicians drive out in GE trucks not sure about other companies though except for Sears. Also go on the net and Google the problem with the manufactuer's name and see what comes up for it. Once you have something to go on you might be able to haggle a part and repair deal with the manufacturer.

my stupid dishwasher is blinking and beeping, which is driving me insane. I am in need of a good repairman. Anyone know who I call for this? Before I go crazy.... (already turned it off and on... doesn't fix it. It's turned off now)

Try Castro's, 201-435-0492. Don't know if they service dishwashers, but I used them for my washer. It was a good experience.

I have a kenmore too and that happened. Try this:Press the Cancel/Drain button and wait till the cycle ends. Also, always press the Cancel button if you interrupt the cycle.
