Look after the cops and firey's and have them all vote for you will get you re-elected. Dumping cityhall staff has no consequence. Healy knows that all the potential voters of JC, don't vote !
Healy is a dumb-ass when it comes to running a city, but an expert when getting votes !

right on Adonis, Healy will buy as many votes as possible until his end. Government employees have it way too good. Too much money and benees with little fear of getting axed.
Any conservative Rep/Tea Party folks in the town?

65 firefighter candidates begin orientation after Jersey City is granted $8.1M

By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal

Sixty-five firefighter candidates hoping to join the ranks of Jersey City?s bravest began orientation yesterday thanks to an $8.1 million federal grant that will pay their salaries and benefits for two years.

?First and foremost, it is good timing because we are in an economic crunch throughout the country, and city in particular,? Fire Director Armando Roman said as the newbies began orientation at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center on Martin Luther King Drive.

Over the past year, the department has lost roughly 100 of its most seasoned firefighters who retired, in large part because of impending changes to their pension and health benefits.

?We lost thousands of years of experience,? Roman said, adding that the grant secured by the department ?will go a long way in replacing many of our firefighters who retired recently.?

The selection of the candidates is handled by the state Civil Service Commission. Roman said each candidate passed a written/cognitive test, team orientation test and a physical test.

After a week of orientation, the candidates will begin two months of training at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy. Those who make it to graduation will be assigned posts in firehouses across Jersey City.

The Jersey City Fire Department currently has a total of 497 firefighters and supervisors.
