Minor annoyance, but it's been there for weeks with no work happening.

Major annoyance. If a sidewalk must be blocked, then a walkway should be made where the cars park. There's no signage, no walkway and pedestrians have to squeeze between cars and walk in the street to get around that monstrosity. Given how long that church has been half done, I'd say that blue box is going to be there for years. It's horrible having to walk out onto Jersey Ave like that. People get hit on that street all the time.

Please contact Candice about it. http://www.cityofjerseycity.com/citycouncil.aspx?id=1224

Hyman and Yvonne are involved with personal vendettas against the city. Reason and good conscience do not apply to them. Nothing Yvonne or Hyman say should be considered above troll level. They are angry, mean-spirited, real-life trolls who get off on arguing and tying up the city's resources with their selfish and insane ramblings.

It might be the toxic smell that's probably been giving us cancer for years:

http://jclist.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=27116

Or it might be the trash trains that pass under Journal Square.

There's a lot of chemical production in Kearny. See map: https://goo.gl/maps/hTsQr

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those cursed locations.

From the looks of the food on the red cadillac site, they'd have better luck next to a tilted kilt out in the suburbs where people still eat like the '90s. Greasy shredded american cheese, flour tortillas, burnt dry chicken breast, and a whole lot of blah. You can't come to Jersey City and compete with the Taqueria and Orale with a bad location and worse food.

and some of their reviews:
"Filthy, dirty, and disgusting. The food is old and dried out. Everything is covered in a layer of grime."

"This is the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant."

"the bottom line here is that its ok if its nots not authentic mexican food but for the price it should at least be decent food and on both counts this restaurant fails."

"This has to be the WORST experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

"Overall, terrible service and long waits for mediocre food. I'd rather get my Mexican food fix at Taco bell."

"First, food is terrible. Amateur Mexican. They can't even get the corn tortillas right, they taste like the ones from a box of Old El Paso! It's insulting to Mexican cuisine. I feel like I can say so because I lived in SoCal and have eaten my fair share of authentic Mexican food. It's really bad. I even returned to give them a second chance but it was still gross. If you like real Mexican try Taqueria in Jersey City or Tacombi in NYC. These places are legit.

Second, it looks like Guy Fieri decorated the place. Purposely tacky.

Third, margaritas taste chemically.

Owners, take note that people like quality. Get your act together because I really want some good Mexican food near home, but if guess for now the best I have is stupid Chipotle....."

"Food is straight up just bland. Nothing at all sticks out on their small and limited menu. Except maybe the salsa- in which the garlic is extremely overpowering. Everything is over priced. "

"Our Vegetarian party of five came to the Red Cadillac to celebrate a birthday. We noticed that all of the main entr?es were served with beans and rice and inquired if they were prepared vegetarian. We were reassured MULTIPLE times by our waitress that the sides of rice and beans which are half of the main entr?es were vegetarian, however after all five of us (vegetarians)ordered our meals we discovered that they were indeed not. The beans were prepared with bacon and the rice was cooked in chicken broth."

All of Newark ave, from Little India to Grove St should be pedestrian-only with a bike path / emergency lane / street fair running down the middle.

It'll be our version of New York's Broadway.

The smell was very strong in Hamilton Park this morning about 10 minutes ago. We had to leave the park because our noses were burning!

Call the police non emergency line at 201-547-5477 any time you smell this toxic smoke. They will connect you with the fire department and make a report. Make sure you are clear that this is not normal bbq or wood smoke.

Kelly said tonight that it?s difficult to control the budget of an autonomous agency, adding that the JCIA has some unexpected revenue that may help alleviate their debt to Waste Management, which picks up city trash for the JCIA, and Hudson County, which disposes of the trash.

The agency is set to receive $1.2 million from the Board of Education for picking up its trash, while there is around $1 million in snow-removal costs that were budgeted but not spent this year, Kelly said.

This guy is a GENIUS! Why solve the problem when we can just pull money from other budgets?

This accident helps show how bad that intersection is.

Yes, the guy was in the middle of a hot pursuit, but the road is incredibly awkward and confusing right there. I constantly see people getting confused and nearly hitting other cars or pedestrians through there.

Is the JCPA self-sufficient, (as it should be) and paying for her salary out of parking fees and fines, or are they sucking on the teet of the property tax payer?

Mukherji?s lawyers, including the high-profile Lawrence Lustberg of Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione and former Middlesex County Prosecutor Bob Gluck, have insisted the charges are false and will be dismissed.[1] Mukherji was also charged in a federal indictment, currently pending, with impersonating a defense intelligence official, misdemeanor possession of false or fraudulent identification, and providing false information. But after the indictment, the U.S. Department of Defense, at the behest of Mukherji's lawyers, verified his commendable service in defense intelligence for the Marine Corps. Two military lawyers confirmed that the seized credentials actually accurately matched his military data, with the exception of his age. Mukherji apparently had used the data on a privately manufactured credential to be admitted to liquor-serving establishments before he turned 21 years old. http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Raj-Mukherji

Start the night at Hollywood Chicken on Newark. It's great because it's byob. The best chicken in town.

Afterward, go up the road to Jordans on Newark, hopping any night after 10 for some live music, comedy, or just good drinking.

Then roll on over to Indio's on 1st for some pool and coronas.

Maybe stop at the Barge Inn on Monmouth and 3rd after that for some local flavor.

And by the time you get to Guillos Place on 6th and Coles to blast the jukebox and hit on the ladies, the night will be a blur.

Perps seem to like the "hit em from behind with no warning" method lately.

More likely scenario is perp knocks out man from behind, steals his gun purse, uses it to move on to bigger and better crimes.
