Yup. Three guys just ran up to him and stabbed him. That's totally how it happened. And then he fell on a bullet. Right.

I think this response would be better in the thread about the Bicycle Thief stealing the Cop's bike at City Hall.

Cops: Man stabbed in face repeatedly

Monday, May 18, 2009

A 20-year-old Newark man was stabbed in the face several times early Saturday morning in Jersey City, police reports said.

Police were called to Halladay Street between Communipaw and Bramhall avenues at 2:08 a.m. Saturday on the report of a stabbing, reports said.

Police were unable to interview the victim, a resident of Mount Prospect Avenue in Newark, because he was drifting in and out of consciousness as he was being tended to by EMTs, reports said.

But later at the Jersey City Medical Center, the victim told police he was walking along the street when three males attacked him for no reason, stabbing him in the face and hand, reports said.

Police searched the area and found a pool of blood at the corner of Communipaw Avenue and Halladay Street, reports said.

Police did not release any information on what type of knife was used in the attack. No weapon was found at the scene, reports said.

Anyone with information should call (201) 547-JAIL.
