fat-ass-bike - how lame... seems that some pillow biting action takes place in that RV with you and your friend... so, I'll pass...
anyway, i pay 1400 now... if I pay more than 1600, I might as well get a mortgage, which is something that I'm leaning towards...

My friend has a RV that you could rent for about that much - and he can have it parked anywhere in Paulus Hook that tickles your fancy.
I think you might be pushing siht up hill to find something at that price in that location, unless you house share. What about renting an RV and living in the Marina RV Park?

This may be farther from exchange than you wanted, but my husband and i are just finishing renovating a one bedroom in our two family home. it is three blocks from liberty state park light rail, near the foundry condos. the money you would save in rent would make up for the extra light rail stops. Everything is brand new, including washer/dryer in unit. the rent is under a thousand a month plus gas and electric- we pay for the water and we pay to heat the hot water. No fees, but we would need a one-month security deposit.

$1295 / 1br - PAULUS HOOK 1 br w/ private yard near PATH @ NO FEE Reply to: chelsearealtors@hotmail.com Date: 2007-07-10, 3:41PM EDT I paid a fee to these people for my apartment in 05 (I still live in it) and feel it was totally worth it. if you're budget is 19200 a year, you could look at it as 1475 month apt with 1 month fee

I've been living in downtown for the past 6 years or so with my fianc?, and in the next month our landlord, unfortunately, is selling the apartment. I've been searching around on Craigslist for available apartments, but it seems that all the decent ones involve a broker's fee, which is something that I'm trying to avoid. Does anyone know someone renting a 1 bedroom apartment (+600 square feet), preferably around the Grove Street/Exchange Place area - Paulus Hook or Van Vorst? We are not trying to go over $1600 or so for rent... that may be hard to find, but I figured I would find out if anyone knew of anything on the jclist forums...
