We may have to follow that suggestion - but the painting is sort of a center piece to the show, and as you know - our audience sits really close to the action. We were hoping to get something that was realistic, but yes - budget is a concern.

It is suppose to be a 'Jackson Pollock' - so maybe a local artist
can simulate the style.

Ok, so this is admittedly an odd request...

Several years ago I read an article (maybe NY Times or New York Magazine), about someone working with a Jersey City based artist that would 're-create' or 'create in the style of' old masters or famous artists.

If memory serves, the artist was located in the PowerHouse arts district - maybe at the Morgan Lofts.

For the life of me, I can't remember who this was, or even where I read the article.

Does anybody else remember this or have the link to the article or even know of a local artist that does this? Any help appreciated.

Note: not looking to do anything illegal...ha! Just needing a prop
for an upcoming play.
