I especially like the senior marketing person quote...

"The biggest difference from other places is that you can be outside and have a backyard atmosphere,"

Apparently the marketing people did not find any rooftop bars / Jersey beach bars / outdoor live music restaurants / fine food venues / beer gardens / cafes in Jersey City that fit a "back yard experience"?

By the way, that introduction page on their website sounds like a millennial progressive wet dream in the form of a mismatched collection of cliches and buzzwords. And, that last bit about the grand opening taking place on May 5 being particularly fitting because that day (cinco de mayo) is representative of JC's "vast culture and diversity"??

This sounds like the TapHaus location? Hopefully new owners? The TapHaus was terrible with the exception of the fantastic views.

The food and service was horrible and it took a little bit of searching to locate since it was in a residential building. Definitely take another walk over.

Good Luck! Not enough waterfront options in JC, excluding The Surf Bar At end of Marin.

Wrong. Taphaus is located at 2 2nd St. This will be on the south side of 2nd St, at #15.

JERSEY CITY -- The Lutze Biergarten is set to become the next piece in Mack-Cali Realty Corporation's plan to "activate Harborside," a large office complex on the Jersey City waterfront.

The bar and restaurant, which celebrates its grand opening on May 5, is an outdoor riverfront beer garden, serving a variety of German and craft beer, cocktails and various food options, including bratwurst, pretzels, pub grub and a raw bar, all while featuring backyard party staples: live music and games including corn hole, shuffleboard and giant Jenga, as well as fire pits and more.

"The biggest difference from other places is that you can be outside and have a backyard atmosphere," Ilene Jablonski, vice president of marketing for Mack-Cali, said of the beer garden, which will be located at 15 Second St in Exchange Place. "There is no where else to get that."
