Go see if they are willing to remove all the disclaimers in their waiver forms.

That's it in a nutshell.

You'll be riding the Hershey HiWay when the odds play out you're one of the 30% who wish they never did it.

Life's about chances right ?

While it is true there can be side effects, like in any surgery, I think the key to minimize the risk is to choose the best possible surgeon with the most amount of experience, not look at the price or convenience alone.

I went to Dr. Hersh in Teaneck (about 20 min drive) and could not be happier, you need someone to pick you up only two times - for after the exam and after the surgery. No issues whatsoever, vision still perfect after 3 years.

another very happy patient of Dr Hersh ... yes he was about 2x the price of a lasik clinic type place but he was awesome and the staff was amazing. No issues past the first day or two (sensitive to light and some anxiety from the steroid medication) and I had a semi-complicated case that couldn't use traditional LASIK (I had LASEK instead I think) Sept will be years #9 and my vision is still amazing

I am curious, is there anyone out there who has had complications and would like to share? I have heard of bad outcomes, but never from anyone directly.

Even the patients of the "best" doctors can have complications - I would ask any of them what type of complications their patients have had from the procedure and if they say none, they are lying.

Go see if they are willing to remove all the disclaimers in their waiver forms.

I've had enough of contacts and want to get Lasik done. I went for a consultation in Manhattan, but I'd prefer somewhere closer since someone will need to come with me to take me back home. Can anyone recommend any good Lasik doctors in Hudson County, preferably in JC? Thanks!

You're aware of the 30% who have serious after effects correct ?
