We rent office space for municipal employees. That office space in city hall should only be for municipal employees and not a private non-Jersey City resident. It doesn't matter if he is promoting Fulop's governor campaign.

That fact he is stepping down but keeping his city hall office should raise concerns. Why should we, the public, subsidize him?

Doubt many tears will be shed in City Hall over this. Bob doesn't work and play well with others. Definitely an overreacher.

Sommer leaving Fulop’s office to start his own firm; remains allied with the mayor

POLITICKERNJ By   |

Political insider Bob Sommer is leaving the Office of Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop to start his own consulting firm.
A veteran Democratic operative, Sommer came on board in 2013, early in Fulop’s tenure as mayor, to help with strategy. He will continue to be active in City Hall but only as a volunteer affiliated with Team Fulop. He will not be on the payroll.
