Yes I have returned a book this way. You may also look up a book from another branch on their web site and have it forwarded to your local branch. www.jclibrary.org

I live here in JC but when I lived in Manhattan you could. I would assume it would be the same here. They prefer you bring it back to the same location but hell they are getting the book back so they should be happy.
