JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- Four boaters were rescued from the Hudson River by a Good Samaritan when their boat capsized, apparently after being struck by another vessel. The 30 foot pleasure craft reportedly capsized in the Hudson River just after 1 a.m. this morning. The four victims who were on board were quickly rescued by another boater. Eyewitness News is told that Good Samaritan took them onto his vessel and to shore at Pier 40, near Canal Street. The four were treated by EMS for minor injuries. Authorities are investigating if the victims' boat was hit by another vessel which left the scene. They were looking for a small black and white commercial vessel that may have hit the boat, forcing it to capsize. The Coast Guard will send an investigator to examine the damage to the capsized boat. They will also attempt to contact commercial traffic in the river at the time. The NYPD Harbor unit towed the capsized boat to Jersey City.
