A would-be robber put his tail between his legs and ran away after a Jersey City Heights woman scolded him when he demanded her money, officials said.
The 36-year-old Beacon Avenue woman said she was waiting for a bus at Beacon and Central avenues around 6:21 p.m. on Thursday when a teenage boy walked up and said "Give it up," reports said.
"I'm not giving you anything," the woman said sternly. "Go back to school where you belong!"
The boy turned and ran south on Central Avenue toward St. Paul's Avenue, reports said.
