If I didn't have a car, I'd walk there to get some exercise and then call a taxi to take me and my packages home. Of course, not knowing where you live, that might not be feasible for you. But assuming that it costs about $5 for me to get from the Grove St. station to my apt. in Hamilton Park, I'm guessing it couldn't cost too much more than that to take a taxi from Target home.

thanks for the bus link, JSQ! but you're mistaken about the Light Rail. closest stop is Pavonia/Newport, which is a bit of a schlep from Target & the A&P, especially if you're carrying packages.

18th street stores are right behind Target, so light rail should take you quite close.
There is a Red and Tan bus, #16, that goes from the backyard of Target to Grove St and Journal Sq, ( http://tinyurl.com/373ju3 ), and it should have a stop just in front of the Linen&Things parking lot, but I can't tell from the map where is it.
The stops are not marked. I mean, the bus does a circle there, in a secret direction. It will go only from north to south, or east to west on a given street, but you can't tell. There are shelters on both sides, and you can't see any sign "here for bus 16" or "here for suckers, the bus will never stop here".
Last bus at 10 PM, peak hour each 20 mins, offpeak 30 mins.

Is there a bus that services the 18th street mini-strip mall? Well I dont know if you'd call it a strip mall, but there's an A&P, Enterprise, Linen & Things, Pier 1, etc. I always want to go but I dont know if there's a bus that goes that far.
