Thanks...

In answering the question why I would take the bus, its a block away, and also I would no longer take a New York City train... I would walk from the Port Authority opposed to taking a train to 50th street.

I have seen quite a few people taking the 7:25 over the years, including a friend of mine I have not heard talk negatively about it - at least that bus. It seems rather nice to get the first seats. I envy it in some ways, the "reverse" commute conditions have changed quite a bit since the buildup in Noho West.

I take it when I know there are issues with the Path or I want to sit down during my commute to NYC. Coming from Jersey City you always get a seat which I really appreciated last year when my back gave out and couldn?t stand. Also it?s more of a direct commute for me as I work on 46th street. That being said the buses don?t always come on time and it?s more $$ then the PATH.

Serious question: why take the bus (with all the known issues related to delays and "no shows") when the PATH is a short walk away, and far cheaper? And, yeas, I am well aware that PATH crowding can be bad and aggravating, but I have been in NJ Transit buses out of PABT that were magnitudes worse than PATH overcrowding.

Hi. I use it sometimes. It?s 3 zones to port authority.
I find it is not always on schedule, but pretty close.
I take the one that comes at about 8:50 and it drops off in port authority at about 9:30. It?s the last bus in the morning and sometimes it has been a no-show.

Coming back to Hamilton Park on the bus is a bit more unpredictable. There are two 126 lines at port authority (you want the one for Willow Ave, if I recall) And the lines to get on the bus can be long. Worse, only some of the busses that go down Willow Ave actually go to Hamilton park, so you will have to wait on the long line, and then, when you get to the gate, you may have to wait for one or more busses to go by before one that goes to Hamilton Park gets there. (It will say Hamilton Park). Also, you need a three zone ticket to come from nyc - cash is not accepted on the bus at port authority.

Has anyone in the Hamilton Park area use the 126 line to commute to work? If so, how is the experience? Also is it considered a 2 zone or 3 zone fair? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
