Overnight Shooting Injures Several People in Jersey City
Submitted by RLS Staff on Jun 30 2018 - 4:53am. An overnight shooting that sent multiple people to the hospital in Jersey City is under investigation. According to preliminary reports, nearly a half dozen people were injured when gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Lexington Avenue and John F. Kennedy Boulevard just before 2 a.m. Police say hospital officials contacted authorities when about three people arrived at Jersey City Medical Center suffering gunshot wounds. The victims reported to police that they came under fire while on JFK Boulevard just before reaching the hospital. Police arrived at the scene and found two additional victims suffering gunshot wounds after a gunman fired off about two dozen rounds in the area according to reports. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
