Astor Bar is still there but isn't really that close to the intersection of Astor and Monticello.
I like that area a lot. I think the layout is cool, it's near some of the oldest streets in the entire country, and there's lots of available storefronts. Also rumblings of a restaurant row over there too I think, yeah? Cool area. Go for it.

The area is fine. There are some beautiful houses. The residents all seem to be pretty good people. There's not much in the way of restaurants and bars but things are changing. Lots of permits have been pulled for stores in the area. I expect it to be pretty busy in the next few years...

Hi Everyone,
What sort of information can you provide on the planned developments for the Astor Place/Monticello area? Anyone live there that can give insight on what it's like to live in the neighborhood? Any tidbits appreciated. Thanks in advance.
