More... (that's the name) a Thai + Sushi place on Grove St. has a nice garden patio in the back. Good lunch specials too.

Are you serious? There ARE tons of options for lunch in that area. You have various places along the Newark pedestrian plaza for quick lunch options. Further up, there are a few places to grab sandwiches from small delis. For the absolute best hero/hoagie/sub sandwiches, head on up to 2nd St Bakery. They are made right on the spot, with excellent bread, and they are impossibly large for the money they charge. Over by the corner of Columbus and Jersey you have a few more places (Nicole's, Koro Koro, and some other spot) and then on Grove you have a bunch of other options: Sazon de las Americas, Ibby's, Beechwood, Shadman, Shaj, More Express, Park & Sixth, Wild Fusion, Grand Sichuan, JC Sakura (not sure if open for lunch) heck even fast food places, like Subway, McD's, Dunkin Donuts. What more can you want?

I don't think that too many places have their outside seating up yet but during the summer past I believe that skinners & roman nose definitely had seating on the pedestrian plaza, latham house around the corner from the PATH & grove bistro right in the path plaza - also choc o pain and the kitchen step on jersey.

I don't think that most of the "cafe" type places (TEANJ for example) have much of an outside area

Do you work on Ocean Ave in Greenville? Journal Sq? Downtown? You may want to narrow it down a tad.

Hi All,

I am still kind of new to JC. I work and live here, but don't find too many options on where to go for lunch especially on beautiful days like today where one can sit outside. Any recommendations? Let me know, thanks!
