wow I had no idea, thanks for posting! Last year I got it in the mail, but I guess it was early enough in the year that they hadn't stopped the old process. Many if not most people just base their renewal on when they get that in the mail, so this could be a royal pain. Going forward they should collect email addresses (I cringe that I even suggest that...) for reminders.

The interesting/ironic part is that if you print the form and mail it, they are cool with that. But, if you print it at home, and bring it in, they don't like that and make you fill out one of the ones they have in the office. Same form, same wording, same everything, but theirs has been photocopied 1000s of times, resulting on a messy printout full of dots and other stuff.

This has happened to me twice, so now I don't bother and just show up, bring my stuff with me, fill out their form, and get my renewal done in person.

Yes- they are not mailing them any more- I got caught by surprise last year. The woman behind the desk told me it was a budget cut. This year as I was looking for something else I came across the form they had usually sent out (luckily I had printed it out which prompted me to mail in on time.) I realized that I haven't received my renewal form for my parking permit as I have for years, so I called the Parking Permit office to check...and they said that they aren't mailing them anymore and we need to come to the office, because their printer is broken??

Anyone else dealt with this too? I'm just frustrated that I have to take time off work now to go get this taken care of...due to a printer.
