Some hipsters in JC don't realize the parallels between themselves and "bros" in Hoboken. They are basically the same people, maybe a different kind of music and dress, but their superiority complex is exactly the same.

Both DTJC and Hoboken have high prices, stroller mafias, cranky old timers who hate anyone under 40...the main difference is IMO DTJC has a few less gentrified blocks than Hoboken. Hoboken has the whole stretch by the projects, but DTJC has random interspersions of less-redone buildings west of Jersey Ave.

Otherwise they are basically the same. I eagerly wait the hipster responses mentioning fraternities and the security they feel from the remaining dollar stores.

Its a question of street strip shopping or the mall in Newport - The human factor is the same and both are pro multi-level residential housing ... it also depends if you work in mid town or the financial district of Manhattan.

I guess it's a douchey, trolling first post, but not as bad as the "Dr Bronner bot".

Certain parts of Hudson county including Hoboken and some parts of JC tend to be douchey. Hoboken I find that to be the women and men in some parts of JC just the men.

Hi JC Residents!

It's coming up on my one year anniversary of moving to Jersey City from the suburbs of New Jersey.

And I must say that I am proud to be a "new" Jersey City resident.

I do have one question, what's the deal with JC not liking Hoboken? I actually posed this question on my blog, TheJCResident.com - Jersey City vs. Hoboken.

Direct link is below.

The JC Resident
