This is interesting. Rich Boggiano has also expressed an interest in the corner office. Funny, if you asked Yun's wife she would insist that all Mike wanted to be was a good councilman.

You sound like a racist, Fulop does many fundraisers outside JC and no comments like this are posted on jclist.

There is a difference between Councilman Fulop and Councilman Yun. Yun has yellow post-it labels all over an ordinance with notes in the margins. Yun actually reads things. The last councilman who did that was Ward F Councilman Dan Wiley, a professor at college who won when Cunningham lost against McCann. Fulop said the right things but he never went into details.
By the way, it was the Korean community that donated $100,000 to the Korean to the War Memorial. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... _city_renovated_with.html

Bit strange appealing to the Korean community in Ft Lee.

Yun will face a lot of scrutiny if he does this, from where he actually lives to whether he has treated commercial development issues in different Heights neighborhoods fairly. I've heard he has favored Central Ave at Palisade Ave's expense.

I know -- I wonder what caused his change of heart? All the more reason why I'm no longer a Fulop supporter.

So did Fulop, when he was a councilman. He was very vocally against abatements as well.

Good luck, good sir. There are areas of the city that still needs abatements to attract redevelopment, but definitely not downtown. I feel Yun understands that - he would still be relatively pro development but without the generous use of tax abatements, which is fair.
Yun very much listens to the community.

Developers cannot be happy with this, he reads all the tax abatement documents and questions their accuracy.

Jersey City councilman Michael Yun to raise money for possible mayoral bid By As Hudson County voters are heading to the polls in the final hours of today's presidential primaries, Jersey City Councilman Michael Yun will be in Fort Lee raising money for a possible mayoral bid in 2017. According to an invitation obtained by The Jersey Journal — and written mostly in Korean — Yun supporters are gathering at Fort Lee restaurant Poong Lim B.B.Q. tonight and are being asked to donate between $250 and $2,600, the maximum contribution an individual can make to a campaign.
