Ex-Jersey City firefighter convicted of dealing heroin gets 5 years in federal prisonA former Jersey City firefighter convicted of selling heroin in Massachusetts was sentenced Thursday to five years in federal prison. I guess it's hard living on only $111,300 / yr... The bonehead had only 4 more years to go for his pension to start at age 54/55.

Jersey City firefighter facing federal heroin charges in Massachusetts
By Michaelangelo Conte | The Jersey Journal on May 11, 2016 at 3:05 PM, updated May 11, 2016 at 3:48 PM JERSEY CITY -- A Jersey City firefighter with 21 years on the job is facing federal charges he possessed and distributed heroin, authorities said today. The criminal complaint against Jersey City Firefighter Carlos Jimenez, 50, of Englishtown, who was arrested on May 2 by Drug Enforcement Administration agents at the Jersey City Fire headquarters, was filed on April 15, according to court records unsealed this week. Jimenez, a husband and father, who works on Engine 17 on Kearney Avenue, was suspended without pay on May 6, city officials said today. http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/20 ... r.html#incart_river_index
