You can probably achieve this if you install a gas generator which would be a win-win incase of a long term power outage.

We just purchased a condo with a private backyard/deck in downtown JC, has anyone ever ran a private natural gas line for BBQ, etc? We BBQ year round several times a week. Does a gas line have to be underground, or can it come under the deck into the back yard? The CC&R really doesn't say anything, this is an old rowhouse. Thank you.
