Yeah, this place has no signage out front yet. It's just plain grey on the outside. It's directly next door to the firehouse on Palisade and Congress. About that old carpet place: it's huge and evidently very expensive---I know several people who were looking at it for possible food/retail but the owners were asking an astronomical price for it.

I think the new Wonder Bagel will be on Central Ave across from Burger King. I am not sure how long until it opens?
I had heard that Choco Pain was opening on Palisades so maybe this is the one mentioned in 1st post?

I wonder if this is the same place that some months ago was discussed in a thread in which someone came in here to bitch and moan about a bodega being renovated with new signage after he had moved in next door and he was appalled that a business was going to be operating next door, even though it clearly was there BEFORE he moved in.

Does anyone have any more information about the new cafe opening in the heights? The space is right next to the firehouse at Palisade and Congress, and it used to be a bodega for a couple of years. It was closed for a while, and then I noticed that the gate was up and there was construction going on. I glanced in, and it looked beautiful-- gray walls and a counter with a tile backsplash. Someone is putting some energy and thought into making it a nice space.
