Between 78, the Pulaski, Rte 139, 10th St, Newark Ave, it seems like half the roads in this city are closed down.

Put in another call to the city. Apparently the permit for the street closure has been extended to October 15th.

I was wondering too..., they disassembled the cranes more than a week ago. A priori no reasons to keep the street closed. The dirt should take less than a morning to clean.

Especially annoying considering that the sewer work restricts and sometimes closes 10th street between Manila and Erie down at the same time.

Does anyone know if this work is going to move up to the block between Erie and Jersey?

I just called the city. That block is scheduled to be closed until September 15th.

I was told that the residents of the adjacent condo were alerted, but no other indication was given to the community.

I'm extremely disappointed that a private company can take over an entire block without any advance signage or warning to other residents.

At any rate, at we now know. And let's see if they're actually done on time!

Yeh, looks like 10th is going to be closed for the foreseeable future.

I find it interesting that there was absolutely no warning ahead of time that this would be happening. Usually they will have some sort of notification or signage on the street alerting drivers of the impending changes. I didn't see anything of the kind leading up to this closure. Did I miss something?

"Detective" implies reasoning, logic, deduction, inference. Yvonne delivers ignorance and idiocy. And perhaps comedy.

That enormous crane certainly looked like it was settling in there.

All of this bums me out. I'm fine with new residents, but I'm going to miss the wastelands by the cliff when they're all gone.

Where am I supposed to drink beer and change my oil now?

There are some permanent-looking detour signs around Hamilton Park. It looks like they intend to occupy that block for a long time. What a drag.

I was wondering the same thing as I drove by there this evening. The one detour sign that I noticed was cemented to the ground so I imagine it will be long term.

If you mention that Fulop is responsible for this Detective Yvonne will find out for you.

It's happening all over the place. Newark Ave. between Kennedy Blvd and Summit Ave. will go to one lane and change directions on a hourly basis. The intersection of Newark Ave and Kennedy is causing traffic jams for north bound traffic. Rt. 139 / Baldwin Ave, Newark Ave. to Five Corners is a madhouse. Ward C is becoming problematic.
