Do they use bait and switch tactics like Liberty towers(LT) or 70 Greene at Newport? They offer lower rents first year followed by 15% plus increase each year after. I know a family at 70 Greene who moved 3 times every single year within same building to avoid rent increase. They were considered new tenants by moving to a different unit. What a pain. I have a friend at LT who's rent went up %14 this year. Let's see what happens when downtown market is flooded with new rentals next year.

Far more respectable than these stupid "lists" which are always posted, without such disclosure. I'm convinced those are paid advertisements (by the company who created the list) masquerading as news.

You might be surprised how many articles in newspapers and magazines are advertorials similar to this. The NY Times RE section is full of them.

Seriously, why repost an advertorial!? They are lame enough as it is, reposting them is just plain bizarre and in bad taste.

No. Film and photography are prohibited in PATH stations and terminals without prior approval from the PA.

Post should read more like this ...

They say good things come to those that wait! If you've been waiting for a patch of green space in Newport since the site's initial development in the 1980s, it's finally here! (Oh, and by the way, that green space is full of "keep off the grass" areas, so you can look but can't touch).

If you've ever dreamed of city living, but don't actually like city living, Newport is just for you! Revel in our super-spacious avenues and thoroughfares, which are desolate of any human activity because of our lack of first floor retail. Savor the bland chain restaurants that you could just as easily sample on any major highway in New Jersey.

Newport is a short hop from New York City on the PATH. By the time you sign the lease, you'll receive complimentary bathing suits and swim lessons to help alleviate the sardine-like JSQ-33rd PATH train!

-------------

Newport is not all that bad. Not all that great either. Thanks for posting an advertisement, by the way.

Newport: The Time Is Now

This post is brought to you by Newport Towers.

They say good things come to those who wait. But if you're pining for the day when you can afford your perfect home, your wait is officially over. The no-fee, luxury rentals of Newport offer all the extras of your dream apartment right now, while also allowing you to remain up close and personal with Manhattan.

Revel in super-spacious interiors, modern finishes and amenities, waterfront views and spectacular outdoor space. (Did we mention the urban beach?) Savor the neighborhood restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and a dazzling promenade along the water.

It's breathing room that takes your breath away because it's a real home?inside and out?surrounded by a peaceful panorama of the city so close you can practically touch it. And when Manhattan beckons, Newport's very own PATH station gets you there in minutes.

So quit waiting around and overpaying for a cramped space overlooking a brick wall. You?ve been working towards something more. Think of Newport in Jersey City as the waterfront lifestyle you?ve earned; a smarter option with a skyline view.
