You haven't heard, the forward thinking City Council has removed the emergency lights from those vehicles, there will be no more issues about employees driving drunk in city vehicles. Quote:

I can see the memo-JCIA employees are forbidden to drive at the intersection of West Side Avenue and Communipaw Avenue, regardless of whether you have emergency lights flashing or not.

An off-duty Jersey City Incinerator Authority employee has been charged with eluding police and leaving the scene of an accident after disregarding a red light and nearly striking a marked police car early Sunday, police said.
Bail was set at $25,000 cash only when Dajuan L. Clarke, 24, of Pearsall Avenue when he made his first court appearance on the charge yesterday in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny. Story
