This urban legend has always been floating around : That Mayor Hague's desk had a draw built into it that would open on the visitors side , like a driveup bank draw . You would put the envelope in the draw and he would pull a lever and it would fall into a safe without his hands touching it. That would be a nice piece for a museum to have.
