I'm so very shocked that having a commercial starring Weird Al couldn't save them...
Radio Shack was great for parts. If I needed to build some electronic device, it was easy to swing over, grab some parts and solder them back at the office. It was fun. Now, if I were to attempt something, I'd need to order everything online in advance.
