For all the working parents out there, here is an interesting and relatable article regarding the difficulties of the modern american school system - how it fails parents and students. It's sad how many Americans don't appear to value a good school system for children in our Country. It's a societal failure, in my opinion.

I think it's someone wanting people to pay their fair share-isn't that what the Democrats all advocate?

Besides, he's asking for equitable distribution-and it would seem, given the information, that some equally or if not more needy districts than JC are suffering because of way the honey pot gets distributed.

it no small way. it has allowed jersey city to distort our use of long term tax abatements, tempered what should be crowds at city hall calling for the property tax reval and certainly contributed to our appeal by having free quality 3 and 4 year old pre-k minutes from Manhattan.

Excellent article. Especially in explaining how Jersey City government is complicit in unfairly taking state money. Too many Jersey City residents want more taxes paid by people other than themselves.
