You're right, next time I want to describe a conniving individual (man or woman), I will say "conniving person" or "conniving human", this way it won't make me a sexist bigot, because what does sex have to do with it.

"conniving Greek" is a racial slur? Would "coniving African American" be okay?

Nope, not Nick, nor an acquaintance. I just dislike people who toss in bigoted remarks for no f***ing reason, when it's probably a personal dispute.

Gonna call someone a nigger next time you have a dispute with a black person?

They may still be getting by with the money they made during Sandy when they were the only restaurant open for a day and had a line down the block.

This Korean-American pizzaiola studied with Tony Gemignani and also studied in Naples for her craft, and got voted best independent pizzeria in the country by consensus, this year.

She has neapolitan, New York-Neapolitan, and New York pizza covered.

If the pizza at Stella's is not good (it's inconsistent, let's say, at best), its unlikely to have much to do with the ethnicity of the owner. Or have I lost my mind??

I think they are somehow merging with A1. A couple of the guys from A1 are going to work there now. Also that pizza is pretty bad.

There is a sign on Stella's window that says it is now open 24 hours, as of 9/1/14. Good to know!

I get Stella's pizza (by the slice) once every month or so, since it's on my way home from work. It's never been really good, but it's never been awful either. Much better than Esperanto's or Helen's. I've also tried their chicken parm sub & cheese calzone, both are also alright. Nothin' special.

If anyone works in downtown NY, "Little Italy Pizza," on Park Pl. between Church & B'way (almost directly across from the WTC PATH), is delicious (but pricey). This is my usual "go to" pizza place when I want a slice on my way home.

If I don't realize I want pizza until I'm already on the PATH - I'll get Stella's. :)

I had Eggplant Parmigiana from Stella's a few months back, and it was mediocre.

Unless they change ownership or hire new cooks, I don't plan on heading back there (especially when there are so many other good options in Downtown Jersey City).

Delivery pizzas from Stella's have usually been pretty good. The re-heated slice on the go, not so much....but not so bad that I avoid it while in a hurry. Only other complaint i had with them is their lasagna is consistently cold in the middle....they never heat it long enough.

The way to get good pizza from Helen's is to order thin-crust pizza and pick it up yourself. Their thin-crust pizza is great.

I've never dined in, but I think their delivery pizza is really good. Many people have also commented that the pizza is very good, and it has always been consistent.

Man, I wish I owned Stella's. That place has so much potential. RIGHT near the Path, on Grove.

I WANT to like it, but the pizza is just awful. They need a new recipe/chef there. Unacceptable quality. There is nothing tasty about it.

If their pizza was even decent, I would stop in there all the time on my walk home from the Path.

Also, their sign says "Brick Oven Pizza"....but, umm, there are no brick ovens in there.

Some new signage, an interior makeover (with a real brick oven), and a new pizza chef would turn that place into a gold mine.
