I didn't understand what you mean. We are downtown. Very close to hamilton park. Water usually gushes from one corner of the basement. It comes very fast. I am thinking that part of the foundation may have cracks or may have been rotten. We get leaves in the water. Neighbors have a pit around that area that may collect water during the heavy rain and as a result over the years the foundation may have weaken.

Hence thinking of repairing that part of the foundation. Adding another sump pump and few other small things.

Do you know anyone good?

We often took on water through our foundation. Our back flow valves didn't stop the water from coming into the house as the water just came into the concrete box they are located in. Often had to bail out water from the box to keep the water from overflowing. Last year we were lucky to get a new sewer put in on our street and we have not had a problem since.

Nothing that a good back flow prevention valve couldn't do. Message me, I have very good guys who finished my basement a week ago.

I had two Zoeller M57 pumps installed, two 4" back flow valve's, two 1 1/2" back flow valves specifically for sump pumps, new u-trap, proper basins, flow router(i can direct my flow to sewer main or outside). etc... I am ready for this eventuality now. Bring it on.

Welcome to the Downtown "problem". If you have incontinent sewers pressurizing your foundation like many of us, you're going to have a very hard time solving this.
