Went once. They kept us waiting 45 min past our reservation. Never saw a reason to go back, certainly not the food. Maybe some young hot chef with a vision (and a backer) will see the potential in the space, if not the decor.

Just can't stay away

Had some very good meals there over the years...really enjoyed the old school feel with the dance floor, live music and gangster style booths. Was a very nice option in that area of town. Will miss it.

Casa Dante was a novelty in my book... the experience was hilarious and always something I recommended to JC new comers...
Kinda sad its done...

Seems unfortunate they couldn't have made some kind of deal; it's not like the landlord is going to have potential tenants lined up to take over that space.

Went once and thought it was stuffy and overrated. I've had MUCH BETTER Italian food elsewhere. It's disappointing to see a long-standing business go under, but given the subpar food, and the fact the place was not even half full on a Friday or Saturday evening (can't remember which at the moment) I have to say this is not at all unexpected.
