Your vague post made it look like you were condemning the problem of homelessness in the City.

I'm not sure what your point was with this post. Tell others they should be doing something to help while doing nothing yourself?

He was passed out drunk. Let him lay there until he freezes to death? You are the man!

You post a vague question in the subject and no text in the body

Eveyone understood that was a homeless man passed out in the snow.

I didn't intend anything. It's a discussion forum. He gave his opinion, I gave my opinion of his opinion.

I don't think that's what he meant. But feel free to be on your high horse.

I know during the very cold spell, some (city-owned?) community centers were opened as shelters for several days (cots, coffee, etc..). My understanding is that police went around and let the homeless know. I know there were takers in the Heights. Once it warmed, "shelter" availability ended.

When I see someone sleeping outside in this weather, I call 547-5477 so that they will be picked up and brought to a shelter. I can't imagine that someone can survive for very long with exposure to the temperatures we've been having.

I don't know what the long-term solution is, but I can't bear the thought of doing nothing.
