Head of Jersey City 'conversion therapy' group denounces new ban

The man who runs a Jersey City facility that offers ?gay to straight? therapy is denouncing legislation, signed into law today, that prohibits therapists from using so-called conversation therapy to ?cure? homosexuality in minors.

Arthur Goldberg, co-director of Jersey City-based Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing, said passage of the bill earlier this summer was based upon ?false testimony.? Goldberg said social conservative group Liberty Counsel will challenge the law, as it did for California?s similar ban.
