Get a job in the kitchen of any local establishment. You can get paid while you learn!

I learned when I lived in Mexico and Uruguay but when I feel I am slipping I take those cheap 6 week courses at HCC in JSQ. I think they cost about 200 bucks.

I have taken classes with Fluent City. The Manhattan location is right at 41st and Broadway. Their schedule was varied and with a Living Social coupon I took 20 hours of Portuguese for only $160! Definitely worth checking out. Their website is www.fluentcity.com They can help you decide what level to be on! Buena Suerte!

I've been taking lessons for a couple of years from a teacher (originally from Colombia) in Manhattan. He is flexible with time and location. He comes to my office in the city most of the time, but he has come to Jersey City to meet me several times, so he's not adverse to travelling, especially if he is able to schedule more than one class back-to-back.
He is able to tailor the classes to individual needs and intensities. He has great references, including me. His pricing is competitive with other classes I?ve seen offered. And you are able to pay class-by-class; you don?t have to buy a package. His email is lordnikon31@yahoo.com
