Looks like he'll be on the job for May 14, assuring integrity in the voting process. A week later he's still in the office, talking on a cellphone in what sure seemed to be a non-business call.

Is anyone alarmed by The actions of the Clerk to Board of Elections? There is a very important highly bitter Mayoral Election coming up..this guy was overseeing 2 school board elections wasted.

There is new information in the print JJ today. The clerk of Hudson County Board of Elections was arrested at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday night in the county parking lot. Three school board elections were held in Hudson County on Tuesday and the polls closed at 9:00 p.m.
Did he get his drunk on in an hour and a half? Or was he partying in the office as results were coming in? Remember how the April 2012 BOE ballots and polling places were screwed up? Now maybe I know why. Cheers.

Imagine if every State and City employee was required to undergo a police and psychological check before they were employed and if you had a felony conviction you could not be employed at all ?
My guess would be that we would be extremely well governed.

Hudson County workers busted -- one for drunk driving, one for stealing county car, officials say
By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal on April 18, 2013 at 6:51 PM Two Hudson County employees were busted in recent days by sheriff's officers -- one for driving drunk, the other for stealing a county car, officials said this afternoon. The clerk of the Hudson County Board of Elections was charged with drunk driving outside a county building in Jersey City after ramming his vehicle into a wall on Tuesday, officials said. Hudson County sheriff?s officers arrested Michael Harper, 37, of Secaucus, in the parking lot of Hudson County Plaza and charged him with driving while intoxicated and drug possession and issued him three motor vehicle summonses, a report says.
