GrovePath..the JJ is always changing the titles to their pieces. I don?t know why. Also the crime I think took place in the afternoon ?before the thief grabbed a handful of money from the cash register on Friday afternoon?. That 2:21 am must be a typo. The JJ needs to print more crime pieces. You would think from reading the JJ that January 2013 had 10 crimes. From looking at the January 2013 COMPSTAT report there were the usual 623 crimes. Come on JJ we need to know what is going on around us, we get NOTHING from Healy. (Oh but we will get his ?crime is down? bs in his State of the City address this week.)

2:20 in the morning? What store on Brunswick is even open?
...and Heights -- I think you meant to say --- store owner with machete chased robber... JERSEY CITY ? A Jersey City store owner chased a robber away with a machete but not before the thief grabbed a handful of money from the cash register on Friday afternoon, officials said yesterday. Police arrested Christopher M. Marchant, 30, of the 400 block of Monmouth Street in Jersey City, and he was charged with robbery after the incident at the store on Brunswick Street at 2:21 a.m., a police report says. The 61-year-old employee of the store told police Marchant entered yelling ?Money, money,? and she replied ?No. No.,? the report says. But she told police Marchant reached around the counter and grabbed the cash before she picked up the machete and chased him out, the report says. Police broadcast a description of the robber, leading to Marchant being arrested at Coles and Second streets, the report says.
