Van Vorst Farmers Market on Saturday's has grass fed ground beef (the farmer next to the gazebo towards York). They will be there through November.

Believe it or not, the Key Foods on Jersey Avenue has had a nice selection of grass-fed beef and other humanely raised meat since they changed over from being a C-Town.

They seem to change it up a lot and the meat department is currently understocked because of the hurricane but I hope enough people will buy the grass-fed beef, etc. so they make sure to stock it regularly.

Whole Foods carries grass-fed beef. There's one in Edgewater just past the Trader Joe's (and lots of other options, including Tribeca). Fresh Direct also has grass-fed beef from a local farm. (But, sadly, Sandy seems to have indefinitely put a hold on local deliveries.)

Also, Union Square farmer's market has grass-fed beef, as well as bison and lamb.

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy grass fed meat but haven't found any at A&P, Morton Williams or even Trader Joe's in Edgewater. Any tips? Thanks!
