The State of NJ has a program for people on public assistance to get their cats done for $10. Here is the link to the info http://www.state.nj.us/health/cd/izdp/spayneut.shtml
This program is funded by the "I am animal friendly" license plates.

There is a big discount for people on public assistance. Let me know if you need any info... We've been getting strays done on the cheap for a little while now.

If your friend lives in zip code 07305 he can get the cat neutered for "free" through the City, which has a grant just for that purpose. Call Animal Control for details.
Also Hudson COunty Animal League and CARE of Bayonne sell neuter certificates for about $50 that are honored at Westside Animal Hospital. Just be careful, the vet will try to sell you rabies shots, vaccinations, tests, etc.

There used to be Friends of Animals neuter certificates available for $25. Might be worth a look.

Only bad thing about the place is they have long waits sometimes.

Liberty Humane no longer does it. My neighbor needs to neuter his cat. Is there a place he can get to with public transportation?
