I only apologized because it appears that one cannot post on this forum without drawing critisim (not to mention it touches on religion, which is "extra" sensitive, I guess). My point proven, again.

Why apologize ? So now you just defeated your whole posting by contridicting youself with an unearned apology.

Door 2 door sales is the new black. I have had Comcast, Verizon, & Witnesses come to my door. I just say a firm no and carry on with my day. Get use to it.

Probably doesn't belong here, but since it's related, I figure I'd rant here: can Jehovah's Witness also stop coming every other saturday morning? If I had refused (politely 2+ times at least already), I would think that it's a very clear sign that we're not interested, right?

I apologize if I'm offending anyone, but just because it's a religious cause, you still can't force it down other people...

Hysterical - contact them directly? Are you kidding? Did you ever try to contact Verizon for a "real issue" and all you get on the other end is Ms. Johnson or Mr. Washington.....yeah o.k. contact them directly - the message board isn't going to do much either but merely a way to vent. The bafoons at Verizon can barely hold a conversation let alone help you with a real problem - then again they are all Ms. Johnson or Mr. Washington....so what do you expect? They suck in plain English!

Why not contact them directly as opposed to a message board?

Dear Verizon,
Could you not send salespeople door to door? I really don't appreciate the hard sell when I'm trying to make dinner. Wouldn't have answered the door, only someone knocked on three separate occasions during the day when I was trying to work and not expecting anyone, and I got to thinking it was my super.
Now I really don't want Verizon.
