A 32-year-old Parsippany woman had her purse snatched last night near the Essex Street light rail stop in Downtown Jersey City, according to a police report. The woman, who is originally from Germany, was walking on Washington Street near Essex Street just before 10 p.m. with four acquaintances when a man jumped out of the bushes, grabbed her purse, and ran off.
