Healy and his cronies are cowards that wouldn't step foot within a mile of the waterfront. Last year we had a rally at city hall to protest their crimes. They do not serve the city, but many in the older residential areas of the city, and lower income areas, have been duped into believing the criminals that make up the Healy slate do not destroy this city with every breath.

How is this different from any ordinary community street fair?

How does it fight crime?

NNO is a "feel-good" waste of time that gives the illusion of "taking back the streets", but has no effect on crime.

Please! A few years ago during either this event or the Mayor's "Neighborhood picnic" a bunch of cars were broken into in broad daylight. These events simply attract homeless and other transients looking for free hotdogs. Just keep your friggin' eyes open while you are out and about and that is coming from someone who has actually put people in jail. Every day and night should be a "Night Out"!

respond to both parks for pick-ups and drop-offs

Isn't Arlington Park closer to the parks in the Downtown section ? How many other park communities will be merging with the parks partisipating in the National Night Out. At least there will be room for the coat hangers with everybody out.
