There's one problem with this story....
Now everyone knows that Mr. Knaus leaves the store with a bag full of 5K every day.

UPS driver returns Jersey City business' misplaced cash
By Melissa Hayes/The Jersey Journal
December 11, 2009, 3:45PM
UPS driver John Piontkowski, l, and helper Paul Paradiso found $5,200 in a bag on a Randolph roadway. They traced the deposit, which came from a Jersey City store, through a bank receipt and returned the money to Bank of America.A UPS driver made a special delivery for a Jersey City business owner Wednesday.
Driver John Piontkowski was making deliveries in Randolph, Morris County, when he saw something in the middle of the road around 12:30 p.m.
It turned out to be a bank bag, filled with $5,200 in cash.
View Larger Map The money came from Stuyvesant Liquors on Kennedy Blvd. in Jersey City. There was a bank deposit slip in the bag, so Piontkowski drove to the Bank of America in Randolph and turned the bag over to the bank?s manager. ?It?s the right thing to do,? he told the Daily Record Thursday. ?Anything you bought with that money wouldn?t give you the satisfaction that it should.? The liquor store?s owner, Don Knaus, lives in Randolph. Knaus could not be reached at the store yesterday. He told the Daily Record he must have placed the bag on his wife?s car before they parted ways to run errands that morning. The bank contacted his wife when Piontkowski turned over the bag. ?He was a really nice guy,? Knaus told the Daily Record. ?I think 95 percent of the people are honest out there.? The driver received an undisclosed reward for his good deed.

RANDOLPH, N.J. (1010 WINS/AP) -- A UPS driver's unscheduled delivery has made one man very grateful.
John Piontkowski spotted a bank bag in the middle of the road Wednesday while he was making deliveries in Randolph. Inside, he found $5,200 and a Bank of America deposit slip showing the money came from Stuyvesant Liquors in Jersey City. The driver took the money to the bank. He tells the Daily Record of Morristown that he never considered keeping the cash. Store owner Don Knaus says he and his wife were busy running errands that morning and lost track of the money, which somehow landed in the road near their home. As they searched, their bank called to say the money had been found. The driver says the store owner gave him "a very nice reward." Nice break for a good guy!
