I would have paid money to listen to the exchange between the cops and the "victim" when describing his watch...

"A WHAT kind of watch? How do you spell that?"

I'd like to know how to pronounce it!

This is why drug dealers shouldn't dip into their own stash. What exactly does a $100K watch look like? I wouldn't park my worst enemy's ten speed in that area. Insurance fraus is a felony, and this is certainly not the best plan. This guy's an f'in idiot. Cops should've just put a bullet in his head to avoid the chance he might procreate. If he's reading this, please note the following: YOU ARE A MORON WASTE OF HUMAN LIFE.

I'm sure the cops took this report very seriously. Photobucket

As a nun chastised my Mom when her pencil was stolen by another student: Never leave things in the way of temptation! Then she wacked her with a ruler for being so dumb.

Ditto to all. We don't even leave change in our car.

Ferrari Modena, 5am-5pm (pretty large window without checking for that type of car if its not parked in your garage), 100K watch left in car (any reason one would leave that in the car instead of wearing it), visitor from York Haven, PA at friend's house (nature of visit and "friend?")

More to that story.

I am sure that the JCPD is pretty skeptical about this person's claims. I think it's bull$hit.

How can a person acquire such wealth yet be so incredibly stupid? Anyway, now the thief is reading this article and pulling his hair out over the fact that he sold the watch on the street for $10.

Yeah - funny but it seems like a lot of houses in York Haven, Pa are only worth about what the watch was worth.

Upscale items taken from car

Tuesday, October 06, 2009

A weekend visitor to Jersey City from York Haven, Pa., reported his car burglarized.

The man told police he had his 2000 Ferrari Modena parked in front of a friend's house at 194 Randolph Ave. between 5 a.m. and 4:48 p.m. on Saturday.

When he returned to the car, he found it had been broken into, and a $100,000 Audemars Piguet watch had been stolen, along with a $3,000 Alpine radio, and new Nike Jordan sneakers, reports said.

Police officers canvassed the area but could not find suspects.

A surveillance camera installed on a house on Randolph Avenue was not helpful because its view was obscured by a large tree, reports said.
