Not sure if anyone had the pleasure of using the Lincoln Tunnel last night, but it took me an hour and a half to get home last night/this morning...
3:45am to 5:15am, and I live just outside the Holland Tunnel... I wrote a suggestion to the PA about upping PATH service levels this summer since this will be the case every weekend ALL summer long. Does anyone know of a good way to actually push to get something like that done? A petition? I would use the PATH more often, but there is nothing more that I hate than to sit in a PATH station for 30minutes when I am drunk, its total buzz kill. If anyone had this problem, and took the GW, let me know if it was better, please. Thanks!

Wow this makes Jersey City even WORSE.
Can't go into the city on the weekend, since we can't get back. Can't drive out of town on the weekend, since we can't get back because of people trying to drive into the city clogging the streets. Time to leave.

This weekend and next, there is only one inbound Holland tunnel lane. The TP was backed up to the toll plaza. Everyone was fleeing the turnpike for the streets of Jersey City.

What was going on yesterday with the inbound tunnel? Marin Blvd. was backed up all the way to Columbus all day from about 1pm through 11pm when I went to bed.

Into this fall, all lanes from NY to NJ will be closed from 1 am to 8 am sat and sun. Couple that with the WTC inconvenience, and getting to/from NY is less than ideal this summer.
