actually the closest course is LaTourette on staten island....believe it or not, its a great course....south shore GC on staten island is not bad either.

yup, if you go to grand sichuan, i recommend eating them there...

i just got back tonight (typing with a belly full of XLBs) from a place recommended to me from a customer of mine from china. it's called petite soo chow in cliffside park, right off of anderson ave. pretty damn good...same size as grand sichuan, but thinner dumpling skin...

bought a natural ant killer from duane reade called eco smart.

works like a charm...made with cinnamon and rosemary oil...sprayed it along the baseboard molding and wiped it down, sort of pushing the liquid into the crack under the molding and floor....so far so good.

peppermint works good too, but this stuff seems to be better.

check out Park and 6th....in the front display case they had a decent selection last time i went in there...

went to tommy's the other night....gelato was great....i have no idea what anyone is talking about with portion size...it was plenty for the $$. and tommy is one great dude....personable, funny and entertaining!

great backyard patio, too! looks like you can rent it out (saw a happy birthday decoration on the back fence)....complete with comfy outdoor chairs, benches, tables, outdoor lighting, plants, shrubs, etc...tommy says he's going to enclose a portion of it for the winter.

another free Thursday night show. As always, 2 sets, new songs, old songs, some covers, lots of fun.

i could only imagine that o'connell's and the embankment are in the same price range, and that south city is a little more. if you could swing a little more, i'd recommend checking out the downstairs room at the libertyhouse in liberty state park.

i had my engagement party there and it was great.

yup, yesterday the lucinda truck was on montgomery at barrow...

we'll be seeing the lucinda truck more often now...the lady that owned it sold it to a couple and it seems like they are ready to tear it up in JC.

they think they'll be at VVP on saturdays.
