I'm still working on getting a place, as the one I had hit a snag and gotta get it sorted before I go back there to spin. I have gigs in NYC, but that is beside the point because my goal was to do something in JC, not NYC.

Maybe the parties aren't strictly house but house music is definitely appreciated and played at the parties downtown. The spot on Colombus got a little wild with hip-hop parties but I think if they do start up again it'll be a lot more diverse, housey and dancey.

If you do get this thing rolling it would be great if it were someplace near mass transit. I'd love to come support but I have no wheels.

BTW, I've heard tea parties have started at Webster Hall on Sunday afternoons. Pretty much the Body & Soul crowd. Shooting to go this weekend.

-yeah i used to spin house back in the day. been doing it since '92. gotta admit, though, most of my house was from the hood. hahaha. "hood house" that explains the b-more in me.

Off the top of my head I can't tell you if I have that track. I'll check when I get home. I have way too much music to keep track of everything. I seem to only remember the stuff I really really like.

I have a few venues I can do it at. So, that will be determined later. I also want it to be very limited and invite only kind of thing. So we will only have true House heads there. That is my main goal. I can also get spaces to do it in too. At the end of the day, where I have it will add to what we are doing and taking it back to the days where it was about the music.

The DJ's I roll with are Dj Eddie Love Hate nyc clubs and lounges, Richard nyc clubs and lounges, K Jaz nj clubs and lounges, System Audible nyc clubs like Pacha, Who da Funk which is my boy Jorge Jaramillo. Also know tons of big DJ's like Lil louie vega, Cevin Fisher, Erick Morillo, Victor Calderon and so on. Not saying they will be coming to DJ my parties but you can see the type if people I have around me and what we play. This is not a big production, but something small for real House heads.

Also, I'm looking to start this in March maybe earlier if I get a good response.

where's the venue and what heads do you run with? when are you starting this?

I am a DJ and also have a venue. I'm trying something new and different because there are no such parties around here and I love playing new music. Especially the stuff I'm getting now. I have been DJing since the 8th grade and lived here all my life. I worked with Erick Morillo as a audio engineer and been in the industry for a very long time, but got really turned off by the scene in NYC. It's not about the music anymore like it once was. I run with about 5 DJ's and we can pretty much play anything, but I want to try to bring this here to JC in small baby steps to see if I can build something cool and meet new people around my way.

Also, spring is coming and I'm trying to get things rolling before its already here.

I am downtown but definitely interested in relaxing in a house music venue in greater JC with my neighbors. Take it back to Body & Soul days of yore. For house aficionados, check out
