If you haven't already, you all need to try some KFC -- Korean fried chicken. The best is from Bon Chon in K-town in NYC or the actual K-town in NJ (Teaneck): double-fried for extra crispiness. Try both soy garlic and spicy wings....yum!

+2 Great fried chicken, I've been going to the store in Ft Lee on Lemoine Ave, if you like spicy the sauce is great, love the soy garlic wings.

Irma's. Irma's! IRMA's!!!

Jersey City's seriously very best soul food.

The chicken is fried with lard, the skin is crisp, the flesh is juicy, not greasy. Irma's fried chicken will kill you RIGHT.

Find her at (592?) Communipaw Avenue between Monticello and Bergen, closer to Monticello.

I had Irma?s on this suggestion and it is OVER RATED! Maybe it's the best in Jersey City, but it's mediocre in the big scheme of things.

Two places. (delivery available)
My first pick would be Urban chicken in Hoboken, 2014207173.
Get the buffalo boneless breasts, with seasoned fries, corn on then cobb etc.

next is Cluck U chicken in JC. (delivery available)
2019462222
Chicken is good, sandwhiches are even better, roman chicken sandwhich.

Off topic, but if you want grilled chicken some nice kobabs and/or a gyro.
Al-nooor on westside ave, 2013240050 - take out only, but worth the trip

Chicken Delight & Hollywood Chicken would be my 2 favorite local spots. As far as chain restaurants, I'd take Popeyes over KFC any day. <>

I love fried chicken and it is pretty good and very cheap at Hollywood -- I just worry that they cook in lard or some other such thing. NJ needs to follow NYC lead and ban Tans fat!

On December 5, 2006, the Board of Health approved an amendment to the Health Code to phase out artificial trans fat in all NYC restaurants and other food service establishments. It is now in full effect.

I've had the fried chicken at Soul Flavors, and it is delicious, but where would you suggest someone go when they're just looking for a quick fried chicken meal?

Myth: Pancakes are for breakfast.

Fact: There are no rules when it comes to pancakes.
